Let me introduce myself. My name is Kristen Sullivan, but please call me Kris. I have been teaching at Shimonoseki City University for over 4 years. I’m originally from Brisbane, in Australia. Have you heard of it before? It is the capital of Queensland and is located on the east coast of Australia. It’s famous for being a pleasant place to live, for the friendly people, and also for its beautiful beaches. I started studying Japanese when I was a primary school student, and came to Japan for the first time during high school for a school trip. I was in Japan for 10 days. Half of that time I travelled around Japan, and the other half I stayed with a homestay family in Saitama. This family was very nice and kind, and I think it was because of them that I decided to keep studying Japanese at university. When I was in my 3rd year of university I studied in Japan for 1 year as an exchange student. So, I have been living in Japan now, altogether, for over 5 years.
Anyway, that’s enough about me. Please tell us all about yourself! I’m looking forward to reading your self-introductions. And, don’t forget to give a small comment to the person who wrote before you.

I’m from Hiroshima. But my town, Hukuyama is edge of it. Not close to Yamaguchi. Close to Okayama. I think it’s a nice place. Not so city area. Not so country area. It’s a nice to live.
I like listening to music and reading books. Especially I love Mr.children, a band. I like their way to sing and lyrics. Oh, and I like karaoke. I most sing Mr.children’s song and BUMP OF CHICKEN’s song.
I like curry and rice. Like a kid. I don’t like nattou. But I can’t eat curry and rice now. Because I have braces. I hate make braces colored in yellow. By the way, don’t you think why you still have it? I think so, too. There were some reasons. But it was 3 or 4 years ago, so I forgot. Sorry. Maybe my teeth alignment was sooo bad.

My feature is that eyelashes are very long. I am very often said “How long your eyelashes are!” when I make a friend for the first time. And then, some people say “You look like a panda!” I think you say “why look like a panda?” The reason is that I am very drooping eye and that I have a stoop. Somebody, please give me a lot of bamboo grass!
And, I played kyudo when I was a high school student. Kyudo is like simple sport, but it is difficult and deep. There is not an end in kyudo. You know what I say if you challenge it. There is no doubt that I play kyudo in this university.
I am glad to enter this university because school life is very happy. I hope I live a full life in this university.
